Chris was born and raised in British Columbia and now splits his time between East Vancouver and Tofino. Chris founded FirstLight in late 2019 with a vision to help clients along their journey to decarbonization, whether that’s as a technical advisor, design-assist, collaborating with other consultants, to producing feasibility studies, detailed controls design and performance commissioning to name a few.

 

Chris approaches engineering problems with curiosity and a systems approach.  He has the expertise to dive deep and extract key energy performance information from large data sets to gain a deep understanding of the actual performance of existing buildings. This key information is then used to inform strategic direction to our clients, retrofit designs to address operational challenges, future climate projections and almost always to reduce or eliminate carbon emissions.
