Kendall Mooney

Kendall first started at FirstLight during her final co-op work term and has transitioned to being a Junior Energy and Emissions Engineer. She has lived in the Lower Mainland her whole life, besides a brief stint at UVic where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Now back in Vancouver, she graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from UBC.

At UBC, she was the captain of the Third Quadrant Design student team, which won third place at the 2024 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon for their retrofit design of the Vancouver Special. Now with FirstLight Energy she is looking forward to expanding her knowledge on low-energy and carbon retrofits for commercial buildings.

Outside of work, you can find Kendall reading, riding the seawall on her electric scooter during the summer, and snowboarding the mountains of Grouse during the winter.
